They are well-equipped with a three-meter long spear and a longsword as a melee weapon. Most have helmets, body armor, and good shields. They are well-trained and can form a strong Shield Wall formation. |

Cavalry Units
Scordisci Gaiseredoi (Scordisci Light Cavalry) The cattle herds on the Pannonian plains constitute a form of mobile wealth. As a result, even poor warriors can afford to equip themselves with fast horses, javelins, a sword, minimal armor, and a cavalry shield. They are very efficient as a screening and scouting unit, but they will suffer in prolonged melee with unbroken infantry or heavier cavalry. |
